This is a really easy and fast sewn pattern for a basic tee. The pattern is a freebie from this site:
The pattern comes with a really good instruction, so it´s totally beginner appropriate. You need a serger. Twin needles are optional. My serger is really old, i´m sure i could use twin needles, but I like sewing with my sewing machine much more. The seam allowance is already considered in the pattern.
I used a light jersey with flower print.

Das Muster wird mit einer wirklich guten Anleitung geliefert, so dass es für Anfänger geeignet ist. Du brauchst eine Overlockmaschine. Zwillingsnadeln sind optional. Meine Overlock ist wirklich alt, ich bin sicher, ich könnte Zwillingsnadeln verwenden, aber ich mag es mehr mit meiner Nähmaschine zu nähen. Die Nahtzugabe wird bereits im Muster berücksichtigt.
Ich habe einen leichten Jersey mit Blumenprint verwendet.
The Pattern consists of Front, Back and sleeves. The sleeves are half length. And the shirt is quite boxy. I took a lot of the width away. A good 4 cm in front and back. And it is still quite large on me. And the sleeves are a little bit thight.
*Das Schnittmuster besteht aus Vorderteil, Rückenteil und Ärmeln. Die Ärmel sind halblang. Und das Shirt ist ziemlich kastenförmig. Ich habe viel von der Breite weg genommen. Gute 4 cm vorne und hinten. Und es ist immer noch ziemlich groß für mich. Die Ärmel sind etwas eng.
First i serged the front and back neckline. Afterwards i pinned the seam allowance and sewed it.
*Zuerst habe ich den Vorder- und Hinter-Ausschnitt versäubert. Danach habe ich die Nahtzugabe mit Stecknadeln fixiert und genäht.
After that i sewed both shoulder seams and serged them. The seam allowance got turned to the back and stitched down.
*Danach habe ich beide Schulternähte genäht und sie versäubert. Die Nahtzugabe wurde nach hinten gedreht und abgenäht.
The sleeves got attached openly. You lay your tee/ bodice in front of you, the right side facing up. The sleeves gets pinned down to the armhole with the right side facing the tee/bodice. Carefully sew the sleeve into the armhole, than serge it and the length of the sleeve. Afterwards the seam allowance of the armhole got stitched down( to the length).
*Die Ärmel wurden offen angenäht. Ihr legt euer Shirt vor sich, die rechte (schöne) Seite nach oben. Die Ärmel werden am Armloch angesteckt, wobei die rechte Seite zum Shirt zeigt. (Also Rechts auf Rechts). Die Ärmel vorsichtig in das Armloch nähen, dann die Ärmel und die Länge der Ärmel versäubern. Danach wurde die Nahtzugabe des Armlochs niedergesteppt (in Richtung Länge).
Now comes the fun part. Close your sleeves and your side seams! It is just pinning, sewing and serging in one go. After that you can serge the length.
The last steps are hemming the sleeves and the length and the tee is finished.
For some people, including me, the tee is a bit too boxy and wide. I´ll probably change the width a bit.
*Jetzt kommt der lustige Teil. Schließt die Ärmel und Seitennähte! Es ist nur feststecken, nähen und versäubern , alles in einem Schritt.. Danach könnt ihr die Länge versäubern.
Die letzten Schritte sind die Ärmel und die Länge zu säumen und das Shirt ist fertig.
Für einige Leute, auch für mich, ist das T-Shirt etwas zu kantig und zu breit. Ich werde wahrscheinlich die Breite etwas verändern.
