If you follow me on Tumblr (Sewingforyourlife) you know that in the last few days ( yes this blog post is actually is really currently) i sewed myself some straight legged trousers. I had some nice blue viscose in my stash, which is wonderful to survive a heat wave. I still have some leftover (about 3 meters) so there will be something else coming in the future, but i just don´t know what.
I altered my Palazzo Pants pattern (which you can get in my Etsy-Shop – and soon in my Kofi-Shop). Link to Pattern.
I just folded away the pleat in the middle of the pattern pieces (a bit conical), measured the hip and added what was missing. Quite easy.
Cutting the fabric wasn´t that much fun, but i managed to get some reasonably straight cutting lines. The sewing process was similar to the Palazzo Pants, so it was literally a no brainer.

Nice to wear, feels really soft on my skin and most importantly keeps you cool…i love it.
I know, it is a short blog post. But i didn´t want to take any pictures, i was more in the mood of “just sewing”.

Hello, it took me longer than i planned, but here is my new sewing pattern, waiting for testers!
I’m looking for Pattern Testers, who want to test my Trouser “Lola”.
This sewing pattern is a wide Trouser, in three different length variations (Short, Knee Length and Full Length). It has a functional button closure on both sides, pockets at the back and pleats in the front. It is drafted for woven materials, but it is possible for knitted as well. (Max. 2-4% elastane).
What am I looking for?:
Sewer with experience. You can see the right fit at a glance and pattern adjustments are not a problem for you. You know the most common finishing techniques.
Constructive criticism. Feedback, possible suggestions for improvement are very welcome. Good communication is the alpha and omega. And with good communication i mean, that you should post in the FB-Group daily or every second day! If i mention you in a post, you should at least write a short comment on what is going on! Here i´m very strict, because i had some bad experience in the last Pattern Testings! (If you don´t want to join the FB-Group, Communiction via E-Mail is also valid!)
Sewers in sizes 2 – 30. As mentioned above, I would particularly appreciate the smaller and bigger sizes. I´m working with the Body-Measurements and not the Ready-to-Wear Measurements! Please make sure that you measure yourself correctly!
Secrecy. During the pattern testing, no photos of the sewing process or pattern may be posted in other groups or social media … that will come later.
Good photos. Since I am not a good photographer myself, my standards are not very high, but the fit of the Trouser should be easy to see. Photos can be taken outside as well as in a building, there are no requirements. It would be nice, if you post some Work-in-Progress Pictures in the FB-Group.
Punctuality and Reliability. Deadlines have to be met, but if somebody can not take part at the pattern test/ or fulfill the deadlines, he/she has to get in touch with me immediately! This point is very important to me, and i will be very strict on this.
Advertising in sewing groups / your blog / Instagram etc. after publication! You should post your pictures of the finished garment after the Pattern Testing is finished! Advertising is an important point. More Information will be discussed in the FB-Group.

What do you get?
A PDF sewing pattern in the desired size and format (A4, Letter), a size chart, a material usage list, a sewing instruction in German and English.

The Pattern testing itself runs for 12 Days, from 03.09.2020 to 14.09.2020.
All finished pictures should be sent to me till the 14.09.2020!!
This Pattern Testing took a bit longer than planned, but that was because of my personal reasons. All in all it went great and my Pattern Testers made, once again, wonderful garnments!
